Assigning Resources to Clients

How to add and remove clients from a folder, and how to auto-assign resources.

Once you have created a folder, you can either auto-assign those resources to any new client that is added to Coach Catalyst (for example, onboarding or welcome resources) or you can assign those resources to specific clients (for example, program resources).

Auto-Assign Resources

When you create a folder you can auto-assign the folder to all new clients that are assigned to you.

  1. Open the folder and click on the Options dropdown in the top right corner. Select Auto-Assign.

  2. From the pop-up window, toggle on the option to Automatically Share with New Clients.

  3. Select Update to finish.

To disable this function, repeat the steps above but toggle the option off.

If you create an auto-assign folder, it will only assign to new clients. If you want clients that are already in Coach Catalyst added to the folder, you will have to manually add the client.

Manually Assign Resources

There are two methods to add or remove a client from a folder - either from the folder page or from the client index page.

Bulk Add Clients

Adding clients to a resource folder from the Client Index page is the best option when you have several clients to add.

  1. Click on the Clients icon in the left-hand menu panel to open the Client Index page.

  2. Select the clients that you would like to assign to the resource folder. You can filter the list first, if needed, by current program, coach, tags, compliance and date.

  3. From the Bulk Actions menu, select Assign to Resources.

  1. From the pop-up window, choose the required folder(s). You can either scroll down the list or type in the name of the folder.

  2. You can then edit the clients if needed (should you want to delete clients or add additional clients).

  3. Press the Assign to Folder button to finish.

Select Specific Clients

If you only want to add a few clients to a folder, you can add them directly from the folder itself.

  1. Open the folder and either click on the Client icon or click on the Options dropdown in the top right corner and select Manage Clients.

  1. In the pop-up window, search for the required clients. You can either scroll down the list or type in the name of the client.

  2. Press the Done button to finish.

Remove Clients

  1. To remove clients from a folder, open the folder and either click on the Client icon or click on the Options dropdown in the top right corner and select Manage Clients.

  2. In the pop-up window, click Remove next to each client's name.

  3. Press the Done button to finish.
